Diagnostic Autism Evaluation* – $ 1,800.00

Diagnostic Autism Evaluation Consists of 3 Steps:

Step 1 – Interview Session

This is an in-depth interview to gather background information. Questionnaires for family members, teachers, etc. as appropriate are included. This step uses the Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum, Second Edition (MIGDAS™-2). Results of this interview will give an indication of whether or not you or your child is autistic, and let you know if pursuing a diagnosis is recommended. You may stop here or continue the evaluation process to pursue diagnosis.

Step 2 – Testing Session

This step includes the most recent version of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule or the ADOS™-2 and other assessments as needed (typically an in-person session for children, with exceptions on a case-by-case basis; may be a virtual session for teens or adults). Sometimes a client needs this testing to be broken up into 2 or more sessions (to reduce overwhelm, demand, etc.). Your evaluator will discuss this with you as needed and additional sessions will not change the evaluation cost.

Step 3 – Review & Coaching Session

This step is used to review evaluation results, areas of strength and challenge, and individualized recommendations. It will also provide an opportunity for further in-depth education on relevant topics, discussion of resources/recommendations, and counseling from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback.
After the review session, we will provide you with a formal evaluation summary** and a list of recommended resources and/or services, tailored to your individual needs.

** Our summary is not a full-length report. It is a document (typically 3-4 pages long) that includes a synopsis of the information typically included in a report. This includes the following as appropriate: diagnosis made, review of history, test and self-assessment results, diagnostic conclusions, and recommendations. The summary is designed to include the most pertinent information for clients and professionals working with them, and to reduce the time our evaluator spends writing reports, which allows for a lower cost evaluation.

** Our evaluation is not appropriate for all individuals; some may have a need for a full report. If you are interested in this service, please contact us to schedule a complimentary initial consultation. Our evaluator can provide more details and will ask you about your goals and needs and help you in deciding if our services are appropriate for you.

Payment options:

$1800.00, paid in full up front, or split into 3 equal payments of $600.00, with payments due before each step.
Diagnosis requires completion of all 3 steps.
